OOTD: Shorts Edit

I enjoy watching haul/styling videos and reading blog post on the subject so I thought I’d do one myself. Hopefully, this will be a first of many. Most of the items in this haul were either thrifted or gifted and none of the items were over $20. I definitely recommend that you check out your local thrift stores and consignment shops because you can truly find some gems for a fraction of the price.

Outfit #1

This outfit is the perfect outfit for a casual night out with bae or the girls. What I love about this is that it would be an easy transition from the office to going out. Just change from your slacks and slip into your shorts and your good to go. The shorts were purchased from JCPenney for $20, while the cami top was thrifted for $1. The red blazer is a five year old Macy’s purchase for $5 (I love a good sale!). The wicker purse was gifted from my sister, but I believe it was purchased on Amazon.

Outfit #2

This outfit is fun and the best part is that it was under $15. Yes, from head to toe! The shorts are Calvin Klein and were thrifted for $1, the shirt is Ralph Lauren and was thrifted as well for $3.49. I love the tie detail at the bottom of the shirt and that it’s not too cropped. The bag is a Goodwill purchase for $9.99. I think this is a fun vacation outfit. You can throw on a wedge or some flats and you’re good to go.

Outfit #2.5

This one is basically the same outfit as above, but I’ve added a blazer and switched up the purse to give it a different vibe. The bag, which was another Goodwill purchase was $4.99 and gives the outfit a more summery vibe. The blazer, which is thrifted as well was a $7 steal and is great to jazz up any outfit.

Outfit #3

This is by far my favorite outfit because of this blazer. I stole this one from sister. Hey hoe (family humor)! As soon as I put this blazer on I feel confident. This blazer does for me what a good hair style does for most of us. I feel confident and beautiful in this blazer and it’s just one of those feel good pieces.

Jacket Closeup

What’s the saying, “The devil is in the detail!” This jacket has a satin finish and is gorgeous! It has a really nice feel and fit. I love when a jacket is tapered at the waist, it creates a slimming illusion.

Outfit#4

This outfit is super simple and cost $2. Yes, you read that right! TWO DOLLARS! This shirt is kind of special to me because I got it at a thrift shop in Georgia when we dropped my brother off for school. It still had the tags on it and was originally $49 from Nordstrom, but I got it for a dollar. (Sis, say it louder for the people in the back!) It was ONE DOLLA! I chose to tuck it in because I just like that look better. Am I the only one who attaches sentimental value to clothing?

Outfit #5

Here’s another simple outfit that was mostly thrifted. The crossbody bag from the image in the middle is a elephant leather bag that was $10. I feel guilty saying that, but it was thrifted. The white tee is from the brand Zara and was $3.49 from Goodwill. The jacket is an American Eagle jacket that I picked up from Plato’s closet for $9.99. This is a cute basic outfit that is perfect for a day out with bae and the kids.

Outfit #6

The top for this look was another Goodwill purchase, I snagged this one for $3.49 as well. This purse was the only expensive item in this haul. The bag is by the brand Luana Italy. The structure, texture and make of the bag is definitely high quality. This was my first “designer” purchase and I absolutely love it. The bag was originally over $300 at Dillard’s, but I paid around $100 for it once it went on sale. Sadly I’ve had this purse for quite some time (I’m embarrassed to say how long), but I’ve yet to wear it out the house.

I hope you guys enjoyed this first edition of OOTD (Outfit of the Day) and remember I (You) can do all things through Christ!
